One Path to Practical Neuromorphic Computing
Featuring Clare Thiem, Senior Electronics Engineer at Air Force Research Laboratory’s Information Directorate
Join NORDTECH for our virtual lunch and learn series, focusing on microelectronics-related technology, initiatives, projects, and topics supported by our Hub.
At our September 23rd webinar, we will be joined by Clare Thiem, Principal Electronics Engineer at AFRL’s Information Directorate, who will present “One Path to Practical Neuromorphic Computing.”
The pursuit of artificial intelligence and machine learning is rapidly reshaping the landscape, creating an environment rich with opportunities. These opportunities may be based on the development of the proper software, hardware, or some combination of both broad areas of technology. Several years of working in the neuromorphic computing arena through both in-house and contractual research activities, along with recent involvement in a national charge to advance the hardware side of the pursuit, a personal perspective has developed for a way forward. This presentation will provide a brief look at this perspective for advancing neuromorphic computing for Size, Weight and Power constrained systems.
